Blue Moon Estate Sales of Northwest Indiana is owned and operated by Indiana native Barb Lightfoot.
With deep roots in the community she serves and 14 years as a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Barb brings a strong foundation in communication, relationship-building and supporting people through times of transition.
Barb holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication from Purdue University. Her HR career has centered on employee relations, workplace culture, and operational leadership, teaching her the importance of integrity, fairness, accountability and clear communication. She brings those same values to every estate sale, with a focus on treating families, team members, and shoppers with care and respect.
After years of wanting to own a business, Barb found a natural fit in Blue Moon Estate Sales. Sustainable living has long been important to her, and she sees estate sales as a meaningful way to support the local secondhand economy while helping families simplify their homes and find financial peace of mind. She especially enjoys being active in the community and building authentic, face-to-face relationships.
A natural listener, problem solver and team builder, Barb is committed to creating an organized, transparent, and welcoming experience for every client. She is proud to serve the neighbors and communities she has called home for so many years and offers free consultations.
Outside of work, Barb enjoys spending time with her husband and family, reading, and attending her monthly book club. She also enjoys crocheting and caring for her houseplants.
