Meet the Owner, Dawn Lyman

Dawn Lyman, owner of Blue Moon Estate Sales of Bucks County, PA, brings a strong foundation in design, operations and problem-solving to her work supporting families through life transitions. With a master’s degree in sustainable design and a bachelor’s degree in interior design, she blends creativity with discipline and attention to detail.

Dawn began her career as a designer at a Herman Miller dealership, gaining expertise in furniture, space planning, and multi-stakeholder communication. She later worked for the General Services Administration as a commodity standardization specialist, where she learned to write procurements and contracts, navigate regulations, work with clients, and craft thoughtful solutions when challenges arose.

Motivated to be her own boss and create more time for her son, Dawn values the flexibility and purpose of estate sales work. She enjoys finding hidden gems, meeting new people, and providing steady guidance throughout the home-liquidation process.

Detail-oriented, organized, and open-minded, she approaches every project with determination and care. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son and pets; staying active outdoors; crafting and building furniture; working out; cooking; baking and reading.
